Daily Commute#
Please download the DiDi app and find "Special Carpool" inside.
Find "Carpool Card" inside and purchase and activate it. The price for new users is around 5r/month, but it may increase to around 10r/month after activation.
The significance of this card is that you can enjoy the discounted price when there is no one to carpool with you. This price is usually 30% cheaper than normal taxi fares. In my case, with a starting price of 12, the carpool price is 8.99.
Then, go to Alipay and search for "coupons" - "travel". Generally, you can receive a 6r coupon and a 2r coupon without any conditions each week, which can be used for carpooling.
When purchasing the Carpool Card, there may be a prompt to join a community. Choose to join, and inside you can spend 2.9 to buy 5 coupons worth 2 yuan each. On Wednesdays, you can also buy a 5 yuan coupon for 1.9 yuan (but this coupon cannot be used with the Carpool Card when there is no one to carpool with. However, at this time, you can contact customer service. Last time, customer service compensated me with a 30 yuan coupon without any conditions...).

Occasional Long-distance Travel#
For long-distance trips, it is not recommended to use DiDi without coupons. It is better to use Gaode (a map app).
First, click on Alipay - Travel - Taxi. Usually, you will receive a coupon with a varying amount, and then use it to book a taxi within the Alipay mini program (this price is usually cheaper than using the Gaode app).
Secondly, occasionally there will be good coupons in the Gaode app for booking taxis, and there is even a student coupon package that is very useful.
If you rarely take taxis and only occasionally need one, you can see various taxi service providers on the preview page of Gaode, such as Cao Cao Travel and T3. You can directly download the Cao Cao/T3 app and register an account. Usually, they will give you a very large coupon, which you can then use in the app to book a taxi.
